SUSAN IS THE FIRST TO RISE every morning and always greets her housemates with a smile. She loves gathering the newspaper and shows excitement when we sing, as a group, while traveling in the van.

A confident, pleasant woman, Susan is very observant and often the first to notice when someone is wearing something new. She always contributes as we gather together for “Family Conference Time” and is often heard to say “I love it!” when asked how she feels about something.

Elizabeth, better known as Becky, loves to watch scary movies, particularly “Spiderman”. She enjoys swimming on the Special Olympics team and often serves as navigator when we’re traveling about town.

As someone who makes friends easily, Becky is well known and appreciated throughout the large Cedars community. She loves talking on the phone to her beloved family members and going home for visits. Becky enjoys listening to music on her Walkman.

Gail is a spirited athlete who wins medals each year in the Special Olympics. She has a great appetite and loves going out to dinner. Currently, her favorite restaurant is Fresh Choice. Gail takes pride in her grooming and loves to choose her clothing.

She’s happiest when keeping to a rigid schedule and arises at precisely the same time each morning. Gail phones family and friends every day and enjoys chatting with staff and her housemates, especially about her mom and the animals back at home.

Beth has a lively imagination and is fully dedicated to her work as a weaver at both the Textile Art Center and The CedarChest. She has a great sense of humor and enjoys making others laugh, often teasing her friends. She enjoys talking on the phone to friends and visits her mother every weekend. Beth loves music and spends time on the computer.

“I make my bed and I put my wash in the dryer. I get the basket and flip it over my bed and I put the stuff away. I like this home. I love it! This is my own home.”
